In everything we do, GetDevDone puts clients front and center. We regularly evaluate our business processes, striving to make them more convenient and streamlined for our clients. That includes everything from order placement and communication to post-development service. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of the business aspects that we have always kept in the spotlight is project development pricing.<\/strong> In this respect, we have some great news to share with you. After thoroughly revising our approach to the development of different kinds of projects, we have come up with a new pricing structure: flat hourly rates. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this post, we want to explain what exactly has changed and what it means for our clients. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our New Project Development Pricing Structure<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Previously, we priced each project development stage<\/strong> and each task <\/strong>within the stages separately <\/strong>and then added up all the numbers to shape the final project cost. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

For example, a typical WordPress <\/strong>project includes the frontend <\/strong>stage, the JavaScript <\/strong>stage, the WordPress <\/strong>stage proper, and the QA <\/strong>stage. The PM hours are also included. Each stage is further broken down into specific tasks. Up until recently, we put a price on each of the stages (frontend, JS, and WP) and tasks within a stage. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a result of our recent efforts to optimize the development process, however, we have changed the way we price projects.<\/strong> Now, instead of pricing every project task and stage, we price the entire project<\/strong> based on a flat hourly rate for a particular service <\/strong>(Shopify, WordPress, Drupal, etc.). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

As you see, we used to divide the WordPress development price into three individual rates. Now, it is just a single hourly rate<\/strong> that encompasses those stage rates internally. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Prices Are Down Up to 20%! <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Here is the cherry on top. After the development process enhancement, we applied the new pricing structure to some projects that we estimated on a stage-by-stage basis in the past. And you know what? We discovered  that the overall cost of a project priced using a flat hourly rate <\/strong>has dropped from 5% to 20% on average!  <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thus, our clients can save quite a bit <\/strong>compared to the previous pricing structure. Let\u2019s go over some of our common services to explain what has changed and how much less you can spend from now on. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Frontend Development <\/h3>\n\n\n\n

This service assumes creating HTML\/CSS markups from designs (PSD, Figma, AI, XD, etc.) and adding some interactive features to them with vanilla JavaScript or JQuery without using JavaScript frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue (those are separate services priced differently). <\/p>\n\n\n\n
